If you use "Microsoft Office 2007" a Word document will be safed as "docx", which can't be opened if you have older software like "Microsoft Office 2000". You could use "safe as" and then look at "safe as type" where "Office 98..." or similar comes up. Then you get a "doc" if safe is done and you can send that document to a happy user;-)

But there is another possibility for users who receive "docx" documents and don't want to bother the sender with "format" problems. There is a little software that you can download which does the conversion for you. Click the following link and download with instructions...
