Hey Orion,
i was wondering what you would recommend for hardware on curved surfaces. specifically on the bow front desk that i am building. it has two drawers that are both curved and im a little stuck on hardware Embarassed

the first picture shows the curve of the desk and the second has the drawers removed to show where the drawer pulls will sit.

Thanks for the help!!!
Denis

denis, i can help here, no one makes curved hard ware, but solid brass hardware is very bendable, simply bend it a bit , works great..not an issue, for example on like a chippendale pull ( bat wing style) simply drill your holes straight and press the backing plate against the bowed front and it will conform...in both concave and convex

slightly denis, bend it first..guess i should have said that..oops sorry, but its not significant difference....just remember to press it down dont just bend it go easy, i have sometimes had to band saw a slightly more curved surface to over bend it some

Nice work Denis, as always. The future is bright with people like you coming up. I only wish I had half the dedication at your age-to anything.

Just got back from vacation-hadn't seen this until now. Charles is right, of course Very Happy You can bend the hardware to fit. Drilling holes after certainly helps. The easiest hardware to install on curves are rosette pulls-no big plate to bend. If you decide to order from us: tell us you have curved fronts. We will switch the posts out for a larger version-the larger post will allow the bail (handle) to swing freely around the curve. If you use a traditional post we will also give you double nuts. This will help keep everything from loosening up.
