prime , you are looking good, what is the finish on the chest...nice cherry and i like the top as well....but i also like the kitchen things,spoons and the like are not as easy as they may look, great job

Thanks for all the kind words guys. The finish on the chest is honey amber trans tint dye. And mission brown tinted shellac, followed by poly. I tried to follow the info from Charles finishing set A-Z. Im sure Im not doin it justice but it still came out fine I think. The way the yellow tones blend with the brown is amazing. Thank you for the guidance. The spoons gave me some trouble. I used a gouge to hollow them out. I traced the shape from a spoon my wife had in the kitchen. The boards got a little dark on me, but the cherry had some burns from the router bit, and I would have ruined the profile by hand sanding. I did sand the profile, but lightly and used the color to try to hide what was left of the burn.
