Pops new A5 and flatline was horribly inaccurate. after about 10-15 yards the paint was flying in all sorts of directions. I made sure the flatline was aligned properly, but it didnt make a difference. We were using crappy paint so we got some better quality and it made a little difference.

I didnt think a flatline was that picky on paint quality, the marker was pretty much useless. Im thinking he may have got a defunct flatline? No we did not switch out barrels in the field im gonna try that out another day.

Anyone got other ideas of what it could be?

Really, the only reason the marker could be causing it would be inconsistency in velocity, an easy test (even with the flatline on). Other than that, it's simply the flatline being paint picky (which it can tend to be). From all I've heard, flatlines prefer small, thick shelled paint(Marbs are always mentioned). Let me know what else you find out and we'll go from there.

We have several guys on my home team that love their flatlines. They like small hard shelled paint as mentioned. However, they do not like Marbs, they prefer All Stars, same company. It is due to the shell, the rougher the shell the better, Marbs tend to be prity smooth. At least that is what they say, I for one love my Marbs.
