This was pointed out by several students and I confirmed it myself and discussion of it:

I can't explain why I was able to use Preview to do this before,.. but nonetheless:
Goldberg 2.5 is one, free Mac OS X application that will rotate the picture and save it so that browsers will show it with the "saved," proper orientation.

You can also drop the .jpg file into iPhoto, double-click on it to open it in the editor, rotate it, click "edit" (or is it "done?") and then File->Export and export it as .jpg file.
To make sure a photo will display correctly, just open a FireFox browser window and drag-drop the .jpg photo in. What you see is what you will get when viewed in your blog or online. Rob D. |
