I was told that I needed Windows XP for Audacity to work and that I can alter my PC settings into XP settings, or something of the like. Basically, I have a PC and I was told that Audacity wouldn't work on a PC. Can someone help me?

Hi Matthew-- I'm guessing that you have the VISTA OS on your PC. According to the Audacity site, the most recent Windows XP version of Audacity will run on VISTA: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_OS

It may be necessary to select Windows Compatibility Mode in VISTA; http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-compatibility-mode/
