I was woundering if it mattered which host i went through? also when i went to download LAME mp3 it went to a page where i needed to select either mac OS 8/9 or mac OS X. how do i know which operating system i have. I have an IMac G5 computer if that helps.(its the older one, not the newest version) |

It doesn't matter which host you download it from, it will be the same file no matter what. If you click on the apple in the upper left hand corner of your main screen and click on About This Mac, it should tell you the operating system.

Do you know if there is a version of Audacity for Mac users ? |

Hi Erika--
Yes there are several versions for Mac. I'd start off determining which Mac version of the software seems to be most compatible with your Mac laptop at the software developer's website: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Go to the downloads section.
If you have a newer mac laptop, there may be Mac-Intel "beta" and a more stable versions to choose from. If you have trouble deciding which version of the software to install, let us know the exact model of your mac laptop and what OS X (operation system) version it is running. Feel free to get back with questions. When something doesn't work, describe what you were trying to do and exactly what happened. Rob D. |
