Dead Young Records Presents…..

THE BEES

Plus Special Guests…Jonjo Feather & The Loungs

Hebden Bridge Picture House, Hebden Bridge,

15TH November 2007

The Isle Of White's favourite sons play an utterly unique, one off show. They are to play two sets, firstly new LP 'Octopus' which has received universal critical praise will be played in its entirety…from start to finish!

Secondly, the band will perform a 'Greatest Hits' set, taking in the highlights from their previous 2 records…2002's 'Sunshine Hit Me' & 2004's 'Free The Bees'. All this will be accompanied by a stunning light show!

All this held within the setting of a grandiose, awe-inspiring Historic Picture House!

If that's not enough, the band will then be hitting the decks at the Official Aftershow, Presenting 'The Bees Sound Selection', an utterly enigmatic mix of sounds from Brasil to Jamaica via the US West Coast and The Deep South. Thou Shalt Dance!

Support comes from Hebden Bridge Teenage Troubadour 'Jonjo Feather', touring to promote his new single, 'reet' set to hit the shops late 2007.

"…all the collective talent that should have been distributed to teenagers has been given to one person, his name is Jonjo Feather" SANDMAN MAGAZINE

Further support from 'The Loungs', who's debut LP 'We Are The Champ' has had a blooming blissful response.

"Lissom psychedelic folk rock...sumptuous harmonies... gloriously rowdy."
Q MAGAZINE

"Classy pop melodies...joyous, White Album-style pick'n'mix mayhem."
UNCUT MAGAZINE

"We Are The Champ oozes geniality throughout and, at times, becomes positively majestic...The best thing to come out of St.Helens since the East Lancs Road."

The Bees are quite good. Yorkshire aint. Like that poster/flyer though and it's in a picturehouse? You'll enjoy that you will.

It's beyond pretty. It is vintage come pre-raphaelite. I love her hair. *concentrating way too much on the poster* It's wunderbar though.

Tis a touch of class sadly all too lacking from Loung posters of late.

Apart from this one...

Touch of the pre-raphaelites?

Heh. Yeah but you don't need to rely on posters as your music speaks for itself. Was that a good gig then? Gutted I missed it.

It was actually considering that in the hours leading up to it we all considered a six man suicide pact it all worked out in the end.

A combination of rough night's prior to the 4 hour road trip to Larndan, the thought of having to sit for approx 5 further hours in a bar without drinking before the gig, travel worries....and other things.

I would'nt worry. 'Roll on death' is one of the many fuels on which this band runs.
