Just want to say hi,
I've just aquired a Galion 22, not knowing a awful lot about them. I was realy pleased to find this forum.
My boat is in the isle of man. Whereas I live in the south of Spain so after much needed refit I intend sailing the boat home.
I was wondering what sort of distences have been covered with this boat. Has anyone sailed it across the atlantic? |

Hi I purchased my galion, Firebird, about 18 months ago and the longest journey to date is a cruise to the Solent from my base at Shoreham which is about 40 miles. Not quite an atlantic crossing but a great experience.
All the best, Dave. |

| It took about 8 hours, so average speed was 5 knots. I'm not fitted with auto-helm, but it may be something you need to consider. |
