If you are looking for an image cataloguer for the Mac start with iView Media Pro.

Which was bought out by Microsoft and reissued as Microsoft Expressions Media. See this review.

AtomicView may be the nicest graphics cataloguer I have seen for OSX.
It not only supports Adobe files, like Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, but also all iWork documents!
