Group member Angela led me to this place of Procrastination. I write poetry and short story and procrastinate about submitting it but in the past I have been good at promoting other people’s work. I have published their work in the form of poetry chapbooks and most recently, I was co-editor/publisher of a literary journal. It was up and running for 3 years, 2 issues a year for a total of 5 glorious issues. We just pulled the plug due to lack of cash flow and dwindling energy. I very much liked being an editor/publisher/designer and I hope to do more in the future. You can view the remains if you google Toward the Light.

In the meantime I am looking after myself instead of everyone else by getting my pen flowing and my notebooks filled. I am also an artist and dabble in various media – handmade journals, clay sculpture, mixed media paintings etc.

I moved to Vancouver Island almost 3 years ago with my husband and I’m still getting attuned to the landscape. We used to live in Calgary with the mountains at our doorstep. Now it’s the ocean and I am attempting to form a relationship with it by writing about it, photographing it and using its energy to fuel my creativity. I’ll report the results of my creative struggle here when I’m not procrastinating.

Yay Deb, I'm so glad to see you here on Procrastination! I hope that you find it as fun and inspiring and helpful as I do. Next year you'll have to come to Surrey to meet the rest of the crew too!

I'm happy to find myself here! The Surrey conference would be a bonus.
I'm still trying to get the hang of all the posting methods and topics. Any directions I should head into?

Welcome to the forum, Deb!

I think someone else will probably tell you which directions to go etc, but all I can say for it is not to be afraid to jump into any thread or conversation you find interesting. No one's bitten yet. Smile

Welcome, Deb!
Smile Nice little bio. You sound like exactly the type of nature-loving multi-creative writer that will fit in fine at procrastination!

Nice to have you!

Nice to meet you Deb. I hope you'll enjoy the forum as much as the rest of us do. Welcome!

As far as posting methods etc., Ev is probably the one to help out if you have any specific questions. Otherwise, just browse where you like and post when you have the fancy. Very Happy

thanks for all the warm welcomes!
I'll be quietly exploring the site for a while - when I'm not working on writing/creating etc.
I'll jump in when inspired, confused or intrigued.

Dear Deb,

Welcome! Sorry it took me so long to come over and say hello. I hope you're inspired and intrigued often, thus led to post--though we'll take your confusion-motivated posts too. Smile
