Paul. When I was in the staging lanes talking to your boys, there were 2 guys standing at the back of your car laughing their bags off. They took a couple pictures of the sticker on your trunk lid (Speed kills.........) to show their Chevy pals!!

I love that scroll on the trunk of your car....even better if it was on my trunk!!!
But....unfortunately the Bowtie usually has the edge with there being a 5 to 1 margin over the Fords and Mopars....too many gear heads being sucked into the whirlwind and not knowing any better!!!!
Paul...you stick with yours...it's cool... and I'm stickin' with mine! _________________

Had a blast at Pinks! Car ran good(12.35 best pass)...except for the electrical issue which cost me a race! Was going to run it with nitrous but wanted to be able to drive in back without a box of parts on the end of a tow truck! This was one of the most fun events I have been to in many a year! Some people I talked to where upset that they were basically just filler for the main event...but I went in with the understanding that my class would not be picked...and that I would be filler(fun filler )! It was fun to drive down(yes I drove in there and back) and on the way home on Sunday evening I had more than a few cars passing me "honking" and holding up "pinks all out" t-shirts in the windows! I had people come up to me at a few Wal-marts and Restaurants to say they saw me race! I guess the Maverick was different enough for some to remember....ahhh what fun it was too! Wish we could do it again next year! Mega Ford races coming up at Mission in Sept...anyone going? Here is a link to some of my pics: http://s370.photobucket.com/albums/oo145/grabber71/Pink%20All%20out/
I only took a ew of them...so they are mainly of my car racing...but there are a few other miss shots _________________ 1971 Grabber Maverick

Cliff-
I was hoping to go to the Mission Ford show, but it isn't going to happen this year. Good luck and have fun. |
