Me and my boys going to mt. island friday to test the new setup on my boat. Any info would be useful on this lake, or come shoot with us. I have never seen this lake but a guy that used to bowfish it said he was at the steam plant this week and saw lots of gar rollin and some carp. He said the gar were easily 5 foot and larger, 30 to 80 pounds. Now it sounds like a tall tale to me, I know texas has them that big but this ain't texas. He said he shot one years ago close to 100 pounds, and he said they were longnose, not gator gar. Wow, this guy can lay it on thick! But I am all up for shooting new lakes and stories like that still give it that MAYBE feeling! HA! _________________ Do you ever get that feeling, like you know without a doubt that fish you are aiming at is gettin' stuck? |

Yeah we seen like five gar they were Tiny CiGars. Biggest was like 20"
Oh well! I guess the legend of the 100lb gar is false. Got more chance of meeting the easter bunny. _________________ Do you ever get that feeling, like you know without a doubt that fish you are aiming at is gettin' stuck? |
